Black heavy-duty vinyl upholstery (with approximately 1/2in. thick foam backing) withstands sun, weather and temperature extremes
Replaces damaged upholstery quickly and easily
Allows use of seat's original foam padding and pan
Foam backing helps smooth out any minor deterioration of original foam cushion. For seats with more serious foam damage, order the seat foam repair kit (SKU# ZX022507P sold separately). Top stitching will resemble original-equipment-manufacturer styling and will vary depending on application. Custom fit only for cycles with original style seat. Not recommended for use with modified foam padding or seat.

"I fitted this on my 1981 Honda 750K. After removing the old cover, the new one was a tight fit - BUT now it is on it is just right. They make an exact sized replacement and it is neither sloppy or overstretched. I was able to bend back and reuse the spike cover grabs, I also had to carefully lever off the old chrome trim ring round the bottom of the seat, and re-use the fastners. Be prepared for a good 2 - 3 hrs of CAREFUL slow painstaking work to fit these. but it is well worth it, the bike looks line new. the material is rugged. and at $250 for a new OEM seat - spending $50 on the cover is a bargain."

"I just put this on my 91 Nighthawk 750. The finished product looks great but did not have the ribs on top of the seat in the picture, mine was smooth-very similiar to the original (thats why I only gave it 4 stars-the ribs would have kept me from sliding during riding). A huge pain to put this on, but very manageable. This weekend God blessed us with some 80 degree sunshine. I placed the cover over the front and rear of the seat, placed it in the sun three times for 15 minutes per session, all the while stretching it out a litle more each time. Without getting the material heated/stretched, this would have been an impossible project-no matter how much beer was made available."
Pros: Inexpensive, looks better than new
Cons: 2 1/2 hours of stretching

"I purchased cover for a 1981 Suzuki GS550L. The seat foam needed to be puffed up on top with a 1/2 inch layer of foam because I was using the drawstring, the seat pan mounting spikes had all rusted away. The drawstring area needs reinforced, as the material enclosing the string pulled away from the cover when tightened. I repaired area by glueing fabric on the inside of seat cover and stiching over it. I also put vinyl tape over the sharp edges on the bottom of the pan. I also installed a 7/16 metal grommet for the keyhole. After an hour in the sun, it seemed to fit well."
Pros: Looks Original
Cons: Needs reinforced at specific areas.

"While installing the cover I found some loose stitching and returned it. I was sent the same cover with the stitching repaired but then discovered more stitching around the lock grommet was there but had missed going all the way through. The fit around the lock is awful with only half of the grommet stitched correctly. It took two months to get the cover and I am not going to return it again. It looks awesome, but I will look for a different vendor next time."
Pros: Looks awesome! Good as new
Cons: Horrible workmanship.
