" I purchased two front wheel cylinders for my 1958 Chevy Biscayne. The center hole on the backing plate were too small to fit the cylinders. I had to file the backing plate to the larger diameter of the cylinders, approx 1/8" to 3/16". On the first cylinder installed, the cylinder was not on a centerline with the spindle. Thus the secondary shoe was closer to the cylinder while the primary shoe was farther away. I will change the setup when I can locate a passenger side backing plate. On the second cylinder installed, I filed the center hole all to one side(to the front). The cylinder then appeared to be on the centerline with the spindle. "
