" I recently purchased a set of KYB Monomax shocks for my Toyota Prado. I live in Costa Rica and the roads are not great so I wanted something durable and that could handle the rough paved roads or the rocky mountain roads. I had them installed last week and since then have driven the car several times. The ride and control is great on paved roads and smooth on the rougher unpaved ones. The mechanic who installed them commented several times about how strong they were when he was performing the installation. I am completely satisfied with my purchase and I would recommend these shocks to anyone with a 4x4 SUV who wants a comfortable ride on rough roads. "

" like the firm ride. my 2500hd pickup truck handle very well with about 2000lbs in the bed. KYB shocks also add stability pulling a 6000lbs car hauling trailer. "

" The KYB MonoMax shocks are a great product. I have had KYB Gas-a-just shocks in the past on a couple of vehicles, but the MonoMax shocks are a lot better for trucks. I gave them 4/5 stars because I like the Rancho RS9000XL adjustable shocks better. "

" Recently installed these KYB shocks, after a recommendation from my mechanic. I have a 1997 F-250 heavy duty 4x4, and this truck is very rough riding around town. These shocks have made a nice difference driving around town. This truck is so stiff and rough riding, unless it has a load, and the KYB's have really made the ride a lot better. I have not had it off-road yet, but i certainly expect the KYB's to handle much better than the previous shocks. To me, a shock was a shock - why pay $100's for shocks? But so far, these KYB's have made a noticeable difference. Very glad I took my mechanics advice. "
