"I'm now retired, but was an auto, marine, heavy equipment and small engine mechanic for 40+ years, and this is the worse "Exact Fit" system I've EVER seen.
This is my personal Jeep, with original/stock exhaust.
Spacing of the flanges was OVER 3/8" OFF (that's a MILE for those who are unfamiliar). Flanges were not even at same angles as the stock pipe, so they were not parallel to their mating flanges, making a seal NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE. Speaking of flanges, while stock pipe had 1/2" flange holes on driver side, passenger side requires 1/4" holes. JCW pipe came with 1/2" holes on BOTH flanges, requiring me to use bushings to allow for proper draw-down of the bolts/springs. The welds were so sloppy and poorly done, it looked like it was done in a junior high school shop. Why there was an extra hole for an Oxygen Sensor that doesn't exist on ANY of the Jeep Liberty years within 4 years of mine angered me as well. The plug to seal that hole is a $15.00 part (after tax). DO YOURSELF A FAVOR. GO TO YOUR LOCAL DEALERSHIP AND GET THE CORRECT FITTING PART.

"We had this installed on our 2004 outback. We were having cat issues which subaru has recalled in other models of that era but not ours! The car has 120k on it and the front cat was bad. Have 500 miles since put in! Price was more a third of what the dealership wanted. their price was 1200! Davco replacement was under 500! With a new O2 sensor! Great fit for easy replacement! Hopefully it lasts for years to come! Ask me next year how its doing!"

"After receiving the products I proceeded to have a factory BMW trained mechanic remove my old factory units and install the after market Davico catalytic converters. First off, they are NOT direct OEM replacements. The mechanic had to modify the flanges where the converters mount to the exhaust. In addition, the heat shields that mount to the manifold from the OEM verison needed to be removed and discarded as these did not allow mating to the Davico, and leave the harnesses that were originally protected by it exposed. The OEM O2 sensors were removed from the OEM units and were transferred to the Davico units successfully however, the cores of the OEM cats are different than the Davicos which required re-calibration to the on board computer module 6, times until the new cores adjusted to the lean, rich fuel air mixture. Bottom line? I have 196K miles on my 525i so I naturally proceeded with the risk. IF, I had 80 or 90K miles on the vehicle and planned on keeping it for a more lengthy period of time, I would purchase original OEM, replacements. PS; this is NOT a DIY job. It takes approximately 8 hours to complete."
