All Exedy clutches are built from the ground up as racing clutches-not rebuilt from modified stock clutches. Pressure plate castings are made of ductile (nodular) iron-not gray cast iron that can burst or explode. Smaller and thinner than OEM disc for lower inertia and quicker, easier shifting and less wear on transmission syncros. Approximately twice the holding torque of an OEM clutch. Pull-type clutch has a high torque capacity, light pedal effort and great release performance. And, unlike the competition, it has a patented snap-in/snap-out release system to simplify installation without sacrificing any of the advantages of a pull-type system. Racing flywheel is milled from chrome-moly steel forgings-perfect for higher horsepower applications. It's designed to enhance airflow (and clutch cooling) and to reduce weight and inertia for better engine response. Unlike aluminum flywheels, ring gear teeth are milled onto the flywheel to help prevent separation. Tested to be explosion-proof to 15,000 RPM. Kit includes steel flywheel, 6-puck cermetallic facing and spring center damper disc assembly. Shipped separately from factory.
