Maintain a constant speed while driving. Saves gas by eliminating unplanned speed changes. Helps you drive safely—your eyes stay on the road. Reduces fatigue—no need to keep foot on gas pedal. Microprocessor accurately maintains pre-set speed. With solid-state electronics for years of reliable service. Functions include: On/Off, slide control switch; Set Speed, automatically sets and stores present speed in memory; Accel Set, allows increase of set speed; Coast, allows decrease of set speed; Resume, returns to last set speed; Controlled Acceleration, sets throttle for maximum fuel economy. All necessary hardware and instructions included. Not available for imported vehicles. Use of vacuum reservoir (sold separately; SKU# ZX810381W) recommended for vehicles with 4 or less cylinders to ensure constant speed. Ford/Mercury vehicles require additional adapters (adapters sold separately; 1989-1991 Escort, Tempo, Topaz and 1999-2001 Cougar models require SKU# ZX810383B). This item may be difficult to install; it requires splicing wires into your vehicle's electrical system. Please read and follow directions very carefully.
