"I bought this timing belt for my wifeys 2002 VW Beetle. When the plastic water pump impeller broke appart and needed to be replaced I decided to change the timing belt while I was at it. I never pay dealer prices and always get a high quality part. This AC Delco timing belt was an excellent high quality US made replacement for the original. On this car you have to remove the engine mount but just support the engine from the bottom. Then mark the cogs and the old belt's teeth so you can count the teeth on the new belt and mark it so you install it in the correct position on the cogs."
