"This is about the thickness of saran wrap. Look at it wrong and the edges crack. It is NOT a new bezel. It is just a SUPER thin cover for the old one. It doesnt even fit for that. The openings for vents and controls are smaller than the actual items. Dont do it dude. Go get one at a junk yard. Why pay new for JUNK?"

"i put one of these on my 71 maverick, i had a terrible cracked dash. after a quick sanding and a whipe down it looked like i had a brand new dash. clipped right on, held itself. my only complaint is that it came textured and the OEM did now, however in my specific case, the dash replacement piece stands out from the mettal dash and looks fine. i highly recomend this to everyone, and jc whitney got it to me in like 2 days."

How often do you shop at JC Whitney.com? Multiple Times a Year
"I came looking for a dash cap for my Ram 1500, even though thats what the title of this product reads the picture shows a instrument bezel cap. But since I also have a cracked instrument bezel I figured I give it a try.
In all fairness the item is a nice piece of engineering, however, I did not keep it as it had some issues I could not deal with.
When I dry fitted the item over my existing bezel I found that the cutouts are not a "perfect" fit. The openings around the vents did not allow the vents a full range of motion. Also even though it is molded specifically for my dash it seemed just a hair to big to fit exactly. Which when it comes to glueing it in place I could see there would be many minor issues that would create a less than stellar look.
The texture of the factory bezel is fairly smooth, the bezel cap texture is much rougher and did not match the look of the rest of the interior. Also, the bezel cap comes with a glossy black finish which I did not like. It is possible that painting the bezel cap may have improved the look.
In the end, after messing around trying to find a way to make it fit perfect I finally gave up and returned the item."
Pros: looked better than broken bezel
