ADD-A-LEAF KITS
  • Bolts-in to correct or add height
  • Adds weight carrying capacity
  • Helps level truck with heavy load, plow or heavy bumper
Vehicles with front leaf spring can level vehicle with snow plow or heavy bumpers and winches. Adds overall 1-1/2" to 2" lift — exact lift will vary, depending on engine size and accessories. Easy way to get a few inches of lift

"Compared to buying all new springs, these were a much more economical way to lift my truck. I got exaclty 2" of lift on the front of my 1977 3/4 ton Silverado. The ride is stiffer but it still feels good, relative to what it was before. The only thing I didn't like about it was that I could barely get them under my spring pack without disconnecting my brake lines, but once they were installed there was plenty of slack. I ended up having to get my dad to help compress the spring enough to make it fit. I installed these in about 6 hours by myself. If you get these, make sure that your U-bolts are long enough to accomodate another spring. Still, a great way to get a little lift."
Pros: Price, quality
Cons: instalation time and effort

"On a 1992 Toyota pickup, these leaves really stiffen up the back end, add quite a bit of on-road stability, load handling and rear-off-road traction. The only problem I've encountered is that one of the leaves has relaxed more than the other, giving the truck a little lean. Doesn't seem to affect it when loaded, but the steel isn't the same quality as a good leaf-spring."
Pros: improved handling, load capability
Cons: durability

Lifted, increased load, and good off-road

"Just slapped these on my 03 Chevy S10 with Rough Country 9000 shocks and torsion lift keys. Got a good 2" lift give or take in rear. After test on extremely rocky road, 4 wheeler trails, and fairly deep mud pits, no loss in lift. Great addition for off-road vehicles or compact to mid size pickups if you want more load capacity. Easy install. Be aware though that the rear end on pickups will be a little stiffer, so if you take a turn too fast on bumpy or rocky roads, your rear end may float a bit. Otherwise, great product."
Pros: Easy install, great suspension improvement.
Cons: Rear end may float more on pickups

"I baught these because my 1999 jeep cherokee had the usual jeep sag going on... well not only did they lift the back end up but it now sits almost 2 inch higher than the front. I would recomend if your doing this to buy maybe a 1 inch spacer for front so it kind of levels out. As for the ride, well it rides like a jeep should. install was easy with a flame to heat things up and a impact wrench, just remember i see someone on here wrote a review saying it sat on the straps for springs well you are sopposed to remove bottom spring and replace it with these, then pack them together.... all in all it looks like i put a 3 inch lift on my jeep! I would also recommend a set of new shocks for the rear ... as the shocks that are on it now are alomost maxed out"
Pros: quality for price
Cons: little higher than i thought
