"I have a 2000 Excursion and the stock running boards were breaking off. I installed these as a replacement and since the truck is lifted they work great. I replaced all the stock nuts and bolts and screws that came with the original package with Grade 8 bolts. I'm 390lbs and I've used them for 1 year now and have yet to have a problem with them. We just had a major snow storm where I'm at and after bottoming out the truck, yeah I said bottoming out, the adjuster bars were bent back a little. I had to manually bend them back into position and the steps work great once again. The adjuster bar I'm talking about is the add-on bar you can use to brace up against the frame for additional support. I would buy these to replace a damaged one in a heartbeat."

"Installing these steps on my 2001 Dodge Ram was ok. It took a few hours. They look great new. After the winter was over, the aluminum was corroded and the steel was rusting! This was only 3 months after installing! Then I was driving down a dirt road, and a 1'' stick got caught in one of the holes. This snapped the entire step off. The aluminum completely bent, twisted, and broke in 6 places. These look really high quality, but they're not."
