How often do you shop at JC Whitney.com? Once a Year
"After reading many reviews and tests, I finally spent the money to buy a set for my 2009 Ford Focus. I now drive my Focus every day now. My 4x4 ranger stays at home because it has less traction. After a few miles on a snowy day a quickly realized I could out stop everyone on the roads with me. I have had to make several emergency menuvers to avoid getting rear ended by other drivers at icy intersections. Next year every vehicle I own will have a set of dedicated winter tires. I see no reason that not to make the GENERAL ALTIMAX ARCTIC my only choice. I might have the truck set studded just to test the extreme limits of winter driving. There are 2 types of people that pass you on a snow covered road, the idiot, and the better equiped vehicle. Note that TCS systems limit this tires snow and ice maximum performance. Enjoy!"
Pros: This tire is all the literature claims.
Cons: This tire is a cold weather only tire. Warm day handeling does suffer.

"It is unreal how much traction I gained when these tires went on! In conditions that left me worried about sliding thru intersections before, now I feel control. Stopping distance is about 2/3 of what it was. Cornering and accelaeration are greatly improved."
Pros: Start and Stop when others Slide.
