Banks' Ram-Air intake system features high performance intake system that delivers superior airflow and adds 40-60 horsepower. It also gathers and points more power-producing cool, dense air to the engine, lowering EGTs and smoke and improving fuel economy.

"This is my second Banks Ram-air intake kit. I put it on my 2008 Duramax this time. Didn't increase the noise much, and I don't know about power or mileage gains because I did some other mods at the same time. I've also had one on a 2004 Dodge Cummins for five years now, and it works great on that truck! While driving it, you can actually hear the air being sucked in and the turbo spooling up. Standing outside the truck at idle, you can hear the air being sucked in. Big improvement over stock, especially with my exhaust modifications. The Banks kit has a hole in the bottom of the air box to suck in more air from below, and the hole for the wheel well is also larger for more air. Banks products cost more than others, but less than some too. Depending on your application, it's worth it in my opinion. I use the cheaper brands on my gas trucks, but Banks on my diesels and haven't been disappointed yet. I have a cousin who always rags on Banks because of their price (he's never owned one), but yet his air intake kit cost the same as my Banks, and mine works and sounds better on almost identical trucks."
Pros: more airflow than stock or other brands
