Shift Knob
"This review is for the Brushed Nickel Iridium Shift Knob with the Black Leather top.
I installed on a 2003 Mazda 6 manual.
I picked this knob up for 8 bucks when it was on sale. I probably wouldn't pay more for it after installing it. The product is solid, looking good and adding a nice look to the interior of my car. However, when installing the knob, it became apparent that it doesn't mount as low on the shift lever as the stock knob. Therefore, there is a large gap between the knob and the shift boot. I compensated for this by creating a spacer that mounts under the shift boot on the lever that raises the boot considerably higher. I was then left with an ugly top of the shift boot showing, from where the stock knob had covered it before. So I found a nice stainless steel cap. It had a 3/8in hole to fit the shift lever and a nice flange at the edge to go down over my spacer under the boot. Overall, I am pleased with how it looks, but not by the amount of extra work I had to put into it. I've put an image up as well..."
Cons: Install is lousy. Lighter than stock shift knob.
