CLASS III AND IV ROUND-TUBE RECEIVER HITCH
  • Look more "at home" on your aerodynamic vehicle than boxy square-tube hitches!
  • Limited lifetime warranty
Made for years of safe, dependable towing. Innovative round tubing follows the rear contours of today's vehicle better than a square-tube hitch...looks better, too, because it hides almost all of the receiver. V-5 rated-meet or exceed SAE specifications. Heavy-duty 2-1/2" diam. steel tubing. Rust-resistant composite finish exceeds 500-hour spray test-that's equal to 5 hard winters. Bolt to frame-hardware included. No drilling required unless specified. Accept 2" square ball mounts in a variety of lengths, drops and rises to level trailer tongue.
Note: Do not exceed manufacturer's rated towing capacity of towing vehicle.

Fits Well and Easy Install

Pros: Heavy Duty construction, great fit, easy install
Cons: None really
"Installed on a 1996 Ford Explorer XLT V8 4 Door.
Received the hitch 4 business days after ordering, in a box with the hardware packed inside the receiver hole. Came with all hardware needed for installation. Weighs about 30+ lbs, so I used my motorcycle jack to hold it in place while I installed the fasteners. Had to oblong one hole about 1/16" to get the last fastener in. All others (4 total) fit perfectly. Took a total of about a half hour to install; I wasn't in a hurry. Hitch is level and up close to the underside of the bumper. While you can see the hitch from the rear, it's no a bad looking mod. As far as function, it works as well as you would expect it to; very stiff with no signs of flexing."

Pros: Easy
"I ordered "Hidden Hitch" but the label said "DrawTie". No matter, the receiver installed in about an hour on my 2010 Explorer. No problems, didnt even bother to lower the spare. The seat covers I ordered with the hitch took twice as long to install!!!"

Super Easy

Pros: Fits like a glove
Cons: None
"I just installed this hitch on my girlfriend's 2009 Ford Escape. I happened to stumble across a video online that really showed me how to fish the bolts through the frame rails with the fish wire that is included in the kit and that made me more confident. The installation turned out to be a piece of cake.
One thing that I was worried about was that apparently on some vehicles it is necessary to drill a 1" access hole in the frame rail to feed the carriage bolt plates and the carriage bolt through. Because this receiver fits more than one type of vehicle the instructions did not really say whether or not I would have to do this on the Escape. Luckily, this did not have to be done on the 2009 Ford Escape (V6 engine). The frame rails are open on the end by the bumper and you just fish the bolts in from there.
The only tools that I used were a 3/4" socket, and a 3/4" box wrench (for the bolt right over the muffler). The video I watched suggested that I should drop the muffler and swing it to the side, but it was not very difficult to work around so I just left it in place.
Total installation time was about 1 hour. But honestly, I was taking my time and enjoying a couple of beers while I was doing it.
Do not hesitate to buy this receiver. It was an easy installation and it looks fantastic. My girlfriend was very pleased.
