"As a first time JCW customer, I was very impressed with the customer service on the phone, quick shipping and excellent communications by email....plus, JCW pre-calculated, collected and paid Canada Customs Duty & Taxes for me, which made the shipping into Canada much quicker.
As the owner of a vintage Honda CB750, finding side covers is a real drag. OEM examples are hard to find, are rarely in very good condition and often verrry expensive when you do find them.
The Maier reproduction is not an exact reproduction because of the fastening system. People complain about the fastening system...but keep in mind that the original Honda design is the reason they fall off. (that and the fact they are made of ABS, which becomes brittle and cracks...HDPE would be a MUCH better plastic for side covers!)
Anyway, despite what others here and elsewhere on the Web say about the Maier product in terms of being frustrated by drilling holes and fitting the fasteners, I installed my single side cover in under 20 minutes.
Most importantly, the cover is not going to blow or fall off...and on my left side (where the electrical is) I don't need or want to unscrew it often anyway. If it were on the right side I think I'd want a butterfly ended nut system or other fast release nut instead of the Philips bolt supplied.
Yes, Maier should supply black hardware, but that's nothing a bit of touch up paint can't fix.
Overall, a good product at a good price...with great Customer Service.
Thanks!"

"I was very excited about finally finding someone that had side covers for my '78 CB 750. They look nice but those shiney heads on the screws, PLEASE! If they are custom and year specific why do I have to drill the holes? Or why do I have to take off the cover to check my oil when the originals are formed around the dip stick? Overall I'm glad to have them, but I think CUSTOM should be taken out of the name!!!"
