Worth Every Penny!

Pros: Durable
Cons: Not quite tall enough
"I purchased this deflector before going to Sturgis 2010, 3,073 miles round trip @ 75 & 80mph most of the time and it performed excellent. I didn't even have a preload against
the headlight on my 98 Softtail Custom and it held up against the wind and helped to keep most of the wind & bugs off. For the money you can't go wrong. For something that doesn't cost a lot of money I would buy another one again!

A nice universal windshield
December 18, 2008

Pros: Easy installation, looks nice
Cons: clear is a little foggy looking, mounting hardware is large.
"I installed mine in a few minutes. I was a little dissapointed because I didn't read all of the ordering info completely. The picture shows a tinted wind screen, but mine, as ordered (my fault entirely) is clear. It's not very clear though, kind of smokey blue. The brackets, being mostly plastic, are kind of big and I'm not sure I'm going to be able to stomach the look. I'm not a fan of shields mainly because of the way most of them spoil the look of a bike. I had a similar sized windshield on another bike that mounted directly to the headlight bracketand was less obtrusive to the bikes looks. It was made by Givi, but cost 2x what this one did. We'll see how it performs on the expressway. I'm looking for something to remedy chest blast at higher speeds, and this looks like it will fit the bill. Made nice, installs easy and seems to be functional, but I'll have to wait until spring...Uuugh!"

Good Value

Pros: Works as advertised
Cons: Could be bigger
"This windshield was very easy to install, with tools included. Pay close attention to the dimensions though. It does take the wind off of your chest, which does make riding at higher speeds easier. The problem is in the adjustment. I am 6'1" and when first attached to the bike, the wind hit me in the mouth. The arms attaching the windshield to the handlebars almost weren't long enough to sweep the windshield forward far enough to correct this problem. Now the wind hits me at about the forehead. Be careful if wearing a helmet, as this can cause a lot of strain on your neck. If the windshield was about two inches taller, it would be perfect for eliminating the wind drag altogether. Otherwise, this works quite well for the size."
