How often do you shop at JC Whitney.com? First Time
"My negative review isn't about the product itself, but rather about the presentation on the JC Whitney website.
When looking for a drivers door mirror for a Silverado, I entered all the vehicle data and was given a choice of mirrors.
All the choices had the same "artists rendition" of a generic mirror. As it happens, there were various mirror shapes used on this truck depending on trim/options etc.
Had JC Whitney enclosed a photo of the mirror (in the packing) I would have known immediately that it was wrong. Instead, I picked the best sounding choice from the vague verbal descriptions.
It arrived promptly, but was the wrong one.
My mechanic managed to get me one, so I never tried any of the other choices.
This is the year 2013. It would seem mandatory to include a REAL photo of the product in this day and age, rather than a generic artist sketch."
Pros: Nice Mirror, nice packaging but...
Cons: Wrong shape for the vehicle I ordered it for.

"I had to buy another one because the first one fell out and smashed when it sat in the sun for a few days. The mirror comes with some super sticky double stick tape and the suggesstion to use silicone around the edge...nice but the mirror needs to move/adjustable you know so that wasn't an option. When I installed the second one I used the tape AND a huge bead of silicone in the back and taped it in place for a few days...still holding so far. Thanks for the excellent product and quick delivery."
