"'83 GL1100A (Aspencade) Being tall, it helps to have some floorboards that are lower and further forward. The heal/toe shifter was a plus, but it takes some getting used to. I didn't install the kickstand extender, yet (and am not sure I want to, either.)
The floorboard fits pretty close to the engine guards, however, and means that I can't get my size 12s in between them. It would be nice if I could use the entire length of the floorboard.
The biggest problem was installation. Most of it went smoothly, but a couple of items were hard to deal with: 1) You might want to "raise" the brake pedal more than they say in the instructions, but there isn't a lot of "half turns" left on the adjustment. (Hence, you really need the pedal added to the brake pedal so you can push farther down on the brake.) 2) I could not get the acorn nut on the bracket on the left side (rear). It would not align with the hole even before trying to install it. I had to take a hacksaw to the nut to get it on! (Even forgetting about the washers (2) that they said to put on with the acorn nut!)
It would also be nice to have a rubber pad under the boards (on the support bracket) to keep them from rubbing together. The matching rider boards had these pads. I used some cork pads that seem to work.
I was worried that I would be scraping them on every turn, but that hasn't happened. (Yet!)"

Pros: More options for foot placement. Look good on bike.
Cons: Instructions/installation need help. H?T Shift takes getting used to.
"I like the product once I got it installed on my GL1100A. Gives options for foot placement that let you relax your legs on longer trips. The Heal-Toe shifter takes some practice and the new height of the brake is a little awkward - I added a peg on the right side for my heal which helps when using the footbrake. The installation was a real pain. Ended up grinding a section out of the left side bracket to clear the rear foot peg nut. Shipping / delivery was quick."

Pros: Much more comfortable and I can sit farther back in the seat
Cons: Not much- you need a little hardware of your own and a grinder
"I had the same issue as the previous reviewer, namely that the left side frame leaves the footpeg bolt at such an angle that the nut won't fit into that space. I had a different solution. I used a nut from the lower engine mounting bolt since it has a lower profile than the nut that was on the footpeg bolt, then used a Dremel with a rounded ginding bit for metal to hollow out a space on the frame for the nut to clear the bar ( about 3/32")."

"Great service. Received the driver floorboards for my 1980 Honda Goldwing GL 1100I in seven business days. The instructions included with the kit were clear and easy to follow but left out some of the final things that needed to be done. The kit was complete except for the bolt kit to install the heel toe shifter pads. The only problem was the installation of the rear nut on left side(where peg had been attached)The board rail and the hole for the bolt are very close and the rail is sloped at this point. Had to taper the nut in order to attach the rail to the bolt.Cannot see nut once attached. Would suggest access to a bench grinder and bike lift. Took one and a half hours but had access to lift and grinder. Boards look great and are comfortable."
