"I installed these air horns on a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab. I put them right behind the front grille, since I wanted the most sound out of the air horns. At 115 db... man they rock. Anyone in your way, watch out, they will know you are coming through. Thanks for such a great product. JC Whitney made sure I got the product delivered quickly and in one piece. I would definately use you again and recommend you to all my friends. Thanks!"

"These horns are, in all apparency, well designed and constructed. The stainless steel is brushed and of high quality. However, the product did not function. I wired them up per the simple instructions but no sound came out, even though I tested the wiring with a voltmeter and all was well. I then wired them directly to the battery of the box truck (NPR) I was working on and not a peep was heard. I have years of industrial engineering experience, so I do not believe it was my doing. Too bad, because they are nice otherwise."

Excellent Purchase

"I puchased these air horns for my brother's 1977 F-250 Highboy. They give out the big truck sound just like he wanted for his truck to be more intimidating. Instalation was a little difficult. He mounted the horns right behind the grill in front of the radiator. He loves them and recommends them to all his friends."

On the fence about this horn...

"I read the other reviews and was excited about getting this horn. I ordered the optional horn kit. After getting everything installed, I had a few concerns.
First of all, after opening the horn, I learned that it comes with a horn button and a relay if you need it. The optional horn button was a wasted purchase. The chrome horn button that comes with the horn is better looking that the optional one. The worst part is, after hooking up the horn, I didn't use either one.
It took most of the install time finding a place to mount this bad boy. It is large, and a mounting area big enough to fit it was difficult to find on my 2000 ford truck. I ended up making a bracket, and mounting it to the frame under the truck and behind the radiator. There was not room behind the grill or under the hood of my truck as mentioned in the previous reviews.
Once I got it mounted, I hooked the horn button to the battery and gave it a test. I was not impressed. The tone sounded like a clown horn. Loud? I wouldn't say so. You could hear it but not the "blow them off the road" level that the other posters said. I decided to use it in combination with the trucks factory dual horns. This is where you get the "big truck", "train horn" sound.
Overall I am happy with the horn with the way I have it hooked up. I am glad I hooked it up and gave it that test blow first before cutting a hole in my dash and mounting the button. Would I recommend this horn....yes. But I would say, It is not the loudest, big truck, train horn by itself. Wire it with your factory truck horn and you will get the big sound you are looking for.
"
Pros: Good looking, straight forward install
Cons: hard to find a place to mount , sound is not as impressive as I would have hoped.
