Headquartered in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, Eastern Catalytic has been a source of world-class catalytic converters since 1976. The Eastern brand broke out in the aftermarket industry with its line of rebuilt catalytic converters and quickly grew to one of the leading suppliers of brand new universal and direct-fit converters in the US and abroad.
Today, Eastern offers an extensive catalog of aftermarket and OE catalytic converters and other exhaust system components for a wide range of car makes and models. The company owns and operates manufacturing facilities across North America that complies with international quality and safety standards, and fields a comprehensive R&D division that incorporates the latest technologies into its products. And despite its dominant position in the market, Eastern continues to expand, seeking new markets for catalytic converters including marine, industrial, off-highway, and fractional horsepower applications.
Unlike many of its competitors in the industry, Eastern conducts its own research and development division and builds its own tooling. Eastern catalytic converters are built using the company's in-house catalytic chemistry formulations, the oxygen sensors machined using the latest CNC equipment, and direct-fit exhaust flanges manufactured using advanced plasma cutters to ensure each unit meets OE specifications to the tiniest detail. Eastern even maintains its own sheet metal manufacturing facility for shells, heat shields, end-caps, and connectors to ensure the durability of its products. And it is this high degree of dedication to quality and innovation that has led Eastern to earn more than 100 certifications in 58 countries and inclusion in AASA's Top 100 list of aftermarket suppliers in North America.
Eastern now offers wide selection of exhaust system components that buyers can choose from, but the brand remains best known for its line of OE- and performance-grade catalytic converters. Available in both universal and direct-fit versions, Eastern catalytic converters offer improved emissions management, fuel efficiency, increased horsepower and torque, and compatibility with a varied range of automobile makes and models. Eastern catalytic converters feature special washcoats that have greater loadings of precious metals, enabling it to perform well in applications with very low or high emissions as well as in vehicles with higher mileage. For trucks, vans, and SUVs with more demanding workloads, Eastern also has catalytic converters with higher Rhodium content to compensate. Select Eastern catalytic converters also have integrated support for second-generation onboard diagnostic (OBD-II) systems, making it easier to tune exhaust performance and diagnose any issues using an OBD-II scanner.
Designed for use with cars, vans, light trucks and SUVs, Eastern manifold converters are engineered to keep the check engine light off even under the toughest operating conditions. Each manifold converter is designed to meet OE specifications and comes included with gaskets, studs, nuts, and other hardware needed for installation. Selected Eastern manifold converter models also come integrated with heat shields to cut down on rattling sounds and increase reliability. Other features include support for OBD-II diagnostic systems, compliance with CARB applications, and meet the emission requirements of GM 2.2, 3.1, 3.4, and 3.8L engines.
