EGS is a non-standard 4" gauge. We have chosen this size for several reasons. In one hand big 5" gauges are difficult to install in smaller cars in the other hand 3 3/8" size is too small to have a meaningful LCD display like the EGS has.
EGS is designed for severe vibrations and harsh environment. The entire construction of the EGS has no hard-mount points internally. All internal components are floating in this rubber-like advanced material called Santoprene. This material is designed to withstand temperatures in excess of 350 degrees Fahrenheit. The rest of the construction is in anodized aluminum insuring longevity, light-weight and great looks.
Shiftlight Module and Control Module (switches) can be mounted remotely allowing the driver to use the EGS comfortably even when strapped in a 5 point safety harness.
