TRAVEL TRUNK
  • Compact yet big enough to hold a full-face helmet and more

Ends unnecessary packing and unpacking forever-carry it with you when destination is reached. Black plastic mounting plate (approx. 11-3/4" x 1"H x 9") attaches to any existing flat rear rack with included straps and hardware. Plate can be positioned so trunk will open to the front, rear or either side. Locks securely onto plate, but can be removed in seconds. Lockable hinged lid protects valuables and stored gear against theft (2 keys included); overlapping rain lip protects stored gear against the elements. Approx. 16-3/4"W (at widest point) x 12"H x 12-1/4"L (13-3/4"L with handle).
To remove, simply turn lock key to right and then push red release button (1). Lift trunk up and push back to remove from plate (2). Use molded-in handle to carry trunk and its contents anywhere you go (3).

Pros: Spacious, easy to install, sturdy, inexpensive
"Bought this several years ago for my BMW F650gs. Works great in all types of riding, street and off-road -- never had an issue. (My bike is the Enduro). It easily sat on the Happy-Trails rack that fit my bike perfectly. My Schuberth Concept helmet fits fine. Have used it to carry water bottles surrounded in ice. Nice to have in the Texas heat. I have a black leather lumbar support I can strap to it when I drive 2-up. I am very happy with it and the cost was much less than the BMW brand. Highly recommended!!!"

Pros: Looks decent and modified easily.
Cons: For a few production bucks more the Factory could have had a winner.
"....if you're not expecting a lot for your money you won't be disappointed. I expected the mounting hardware problem (from reviews) and a possible weak latch. What I didn't expect was to find the broken latch in the bottom of the shipping box. The box itself was sealed in a plastic bag; the latch wasn't. So much for quality control at the Factory. Luckily I work for a metal fabrication shop. Rather than return the box for an exchange (and get the same weak latch back) I fabricated one from stainless steel plate. Problem solved. I was looking to just fill a 'need' with this one and it does that quite well. I added running lights with a quick disconnect and reflective tape. It looks good on the back of my 1978 Honda CB400T. If you're not 'handy' then pass on this one. If you are then you'll be okay. The Free Shipping made the deal for me; without it this box isn't worth it though."

"We purchased this trunk for a 1985 Honda Elite CH250 scooter. It fit nicely. The trunk is big enough for my helmet. Would definitely recommend."
