"THESE MIRRORS DID NOT FIT MY 2003 SPORTSTER 1200XLH. THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN GREAT FOR THE PRICE BUT THEY DO ME NO GOOD IF THEY DON'T FIT OEM FITTINGS."
Pros: GREAT PRICE
Cons: DID NOT FIT

"I have found this item very easy to install on my 2003, Harley Davidson 883R. The short mirrors that were on the bike made it hard to see traffic behind me and the longer stems on these have made it easier. The quality of these mirrors are great and half the price of any others I have priced. Thanks."

"I have a pair of these (8" Stem long version) installed on my 2005 FXDL-TC88 which are working out great. They replaced the OEM shorty 'Chopper Style' H-D choose to install on the later model Harleys as of late, which are for all intensive purposes useless. The later model FXDL & FXDLI combined with their stock drag bars and risers, tend to situate the shorter mirrors in such a way that your forearms will block your rear view. The longer stem corrects this situation, much as it did on the original Low-Riders 1977 thru 1979. On the other hand, with the 1980 and later FXS with it's more common 'Buckhorn' style handlebars, the 8" long stem mirrors become too much of a good thing - these 5" short stem listed here (and I'm still waiting to receive from JCW since early September) are a better choice for my 1981 FXS-80. Anything longer and the mirrors protrude out too far and start smacking things - I kid you not! ;) Contrary to the actual manufacturer's (EMGO) indifferent assurance that these will fit later model Harleys without problems, don't believe it! The FXDL as received has the front turn signals mounted on elaborate stalks which utilize the lower threads of the mirrors to attach to the handlebars. These EMGO's stem threads are a different type and will not work with the stock H-D stalks. Not a problem for me because I always remove the Signals from the handlebars and relocate them to the upper triple tree, just as the original Low-Rider was. But if you want to maintain the signals on the handlebars, the later model Harley mounts will need to be modified.
