Cons: Cold weather install difficult, will deform under snow load
"Functional, but can be difficult to install when cold as the cover loses elasticity. This gets worse as the cover ages. I've been through two covers since 2004, and about to replace the current. Seems like they last about 3 years before they start to crack. At least you can buy replacement covers and not the whole frame.
Heavy snow will cause puddling in the middle, as the cover will dip between the support bows."

Pros: Fits perfect, never ever leaked, never ripped.
Cons: Even with the snaps turned, it is still hard to stretch in cold weather.
"I installed a Blackmax cover on my Chevy Colorado in 2005. It is still in perfect condition. It has never ripped or faded. No snaps have ever broken. Since the vinyl doesn't seem to stretch very much in hot weather, I keep the snaps in the cold weather postion year 'round just to make unsnapping it easier (it is a bit tough to snap down in the cold). The clamps that hold the rails to the bed have never worked loose, and the supports are as strong as ever. Even though it is not as expensive as other models, it is a great product."
