"I bought and installed a set of illuminated running boards on my Tahoe for looks and safety. They were fairly easy to install. The biggest drawback is that the LED light units, which are hermetically sealed, somehow manage to take-on water and short out. This process can take anywhere from a few months to a year or more. The plus is that Lund warranties the lights and will supply new units as needed. Even the new replacement lights will leak over similar time periods."
Pros: Running boards work well.
Cons: LED light units get wet and short out
