"I ordered this bumper for my 1990 Jeep Comanche. It was shipped quickly and installed easily. I was able to use my existing brackets and the existing lights plugged into the new sockets. The bumper looks good and is a worth the $."
Pros: As advertised and quick shipping.

How often do you shop at JC Whitney.com? First Time
"When I purchased this a year ago, none of the reviews were up yet about how the item did not fit. I am not super handy with cars, and finally had an autobody shop install this. They had to drill holes because mounting brackets did not fit standard holes on truck, and bumper level is 2" below original. Also, photo of item showed it as silver with black top - item I received is all black - no chrome. When I ordered, I used the live chat, and was assured I was ordering the right product. So, be careful if you order - it probably won't fit and will need either professional install or someone able to drill new mounting holes."
Pros: LOOKS OK, BUT NOT SAME AS PHOTO
Cons: DID NOT FIT - HAD TO GO TO AUTO BODY SHOP TO INSTALL

"My purchase is living proof that alot of these reviews are written by paid authors who never purchased the products being reviewed. I have a very common, very plain 1989 Chevy S10 pickup, so my problem should have been encountered a long time ago by reviewers, but hasn't so far. So let me give a mild warning: the bumper bracket did not match the bumper so I had to overbore an 11/16th hole in the bumper bracket to accomodate, requiring a larger washer to appropriately grab the bumper. Not a problem since I'm a handy guy, but DO NOT buy this item unless you have a drill press or a large drill (or a friend with such tools) and the willingness to bore out the holes. Once that was done, the bumper mated to the truck perfectly, and because my old bumper was rusted out, my new bumper looks AWESOME. I coated it with Blue Magic Rubber Undercoating (always use "rubber" undercoating, and NOT "rubberized" undercoating which contains asphalt instead of pure rubber and will wear off more quickly than pure rubber), and it will now last longer than my truck. The license plate holes in the bumper are lower than stock so your license plate will sit about 1 inch lower than normal so if you have a state-supplied text message (like New Hampshire "live free or die" or Massachusetts “tax ‘em ‘til they bleed” then that text will be obscured). The backup light holes were perfect. The trailer hitch mounting point on the bumper is thicker than stock, so I had to eliminate the lock washer to have enough threads on the hitch to grab the nut, which was not an issue. All in all, for the great price, with a little work, I have a fantastic looking bumper that will outlive the truck."
