Ignitor® II modules use a Hall Effect integrated circuit triggered by a special magnetic sleeve fitted to the distributor shaft resulting in stable timing and precise spark distribution. A powerful micro controller with adaptive dwell algorithms allows the module to adjust the dwell angle to maintain peak energy throughout the entire RPM range, increasing both high and low RPM performance. Because peak current level is reached just prior to spark, ignition energy is sustained with less heat build-up in the coil and module.

Also features: high-dielectric strength cap with brass terminals and premium rotor; factory set performance curve with addition springs provided for custom advance curves; a proprietary mechanical advance adjustment feature that is easy to use and allows a number of settings for limiting the maximum mechanical advance; a machined heat-treated gear that insures durability plus tighter mesh with the cam gear eliminating horsepower losses caused by timing fluctuations; a top roller bearing and an oil impregnated bronze sintered bottom bushing to reduce friction and high RPM vibration.
