"I am a professional driver with over 2 million, accident free, miles behind me. I purchased this mirror for my personal automobile. This is what I have to say about the 17" panoramic, anti-glare mirror:
This panoramic mirror is a full 17" wide and has anti-glare for night driving. You can see perfectly during the day, too. It is flawless in every way, from easy installation, anti-glare, light weight and gives you a great panoramic view of everthing beside and behind your vehicle. You will be amazed especially when you need it the most in heavy traffic, or when backing out of congested parking spaces. This mirror is perfect for eliminating blind spots so you can easily change lanes with complete confidence and safety. It causes me to wonder why this mirror isn't Standard Equipment on all factory vehicles. It should be!
The installation process is so easy, too. Anyone can do it in less than one minute. This panoramic mirror is light weight so you don't have to be concerned if your existing mirror will hold the weight.
The price of this panoramic mirror is unbelieveable, too. It is a great value for the price. It would make an excellent Christmas gift for those whom you love and care about."

"When I first discovered these at JCW, the item was about $5.95. That was in the early 70's. I've never been without one since. In my mini-van the mirror shows everything - even someone ready to open my driver door!
More than once this mirror has saved me from an accident, since one glance tells the whole story. Having to check 3 mirrors is like 3 on a match!
When mounting it, adjust the stationary mirror as high as you can get it so the width of the add-on doesn't block your field of vision ahead.
I recommend 2 or 3 strips of velcro to secure it.

I've never found these mirrors anyplace but JCW!"
Pros: provides 100% field of vision - one look shows all
Cons: clipping on was cumbersome so I used industrial strength VELCRO - works great!

"This is Excellent blind spot mirror. This mirror will avoid accident for new as well as experience drivers. I am using this mirror for 15 years and protect my car against accident many times. Every car maker should be build with this type of mirror."

"The anti-glare feature on this product does little. As it doesn't have a low-light feature like standard rear-view mirrors, you get the full blast of headlights behind you in your eyes. Worse, the mirror says 'objects in mirror are closer than they appear'; this is fine in daytime, but at night when you can't see the shape of a vehicle it means you don't really know how far behind you a vehicle is!
I may re-attach this for daytime city driving. It is easy to install & remove. Very good at eliminating blind spots and reverse driving in parking areas.
Some people may need to tighten their standard r.v.mirror to prevent the extra weight from making the mirror drop down with vibrations/bumps."
