"Before installing i set up heat lamp behind padding and used an infrared thermometer to measure effectiveness. The temp with and without the lamp was the same. I installed in a GTO from firewall back to trunk. I do not feel any heat coming thru floor boards. The only place i glued was the transmission tunnel to keep carpet from popping up. You do need a good pair of shears to cut."

"Installed it in my 97 jeep wrangler in no time at all. It made a great differance as far as the noise in the cab. Now I use a lower volume setting to listen to my music, even with both windows (sliders) open. I installed insulation on the front floor and as far up the firewall as possible, behind the front seats, around the wheelwells and on the back floor. What I used behind the front seat was an insulation that I had bought at a lunber store and had installed infront. The one roll of sound/heat insulation I ordered was not enough to cover the whole jeep."
