Pros: Good sound, extra lights, easy wiring/hookup

Cons: Mounting, headroom

"I mounted a set of the basic sound pods to my '89 Wrangler since I only had the dash speakers and wanted something more. If you don't know, the '87-'91 Wranglers have the "sport bar", where the rear bars angle down from the main hoop, where the '92-'95 Wranglers have the "family bar", which extends past the back seat. Mine is the former, so I had to install the sound pods in front of the main hoop, rather than behind. This turned out to be a pain due to the fact that the windshield support bars' bolts get in the way of the bolts for the sound pods! Because of this, I had to mount the pods about an inch or so away from the hoop so as to miss the bolts. I screwed them in tight, but they rattle a bit on rough roads. Wiring was very simple and only needed extra wire for the power wire for the lights, otherwise everything reached. Sound quality is good, but the driver's side speaker is rattling/buzzing a bit, but not enough to be a nuisance. Due to the location of the pods (because of the hoop), they are right above my head and can get deafening if you don't turn down the treble or move the fade forwards. I also bump my head on them time to time when going over a speed bump. Overall they did help me hear more music over the sounds of the wind, which I was looking forward to. They do hang down visually, but not enough to really be seen from outside the vehicle, nor do they get in the way of the softtop."
