How often do you shop at JC Whitney.com? Once a Year
"The 1 1/4" bar mount pin hole on this product is 5/8" diameter...same as for a 2" receiver...
It should be 1/2" pin hole as this is the standard for 1 1/4" receivers.
Had I not had access to a drill press I would have had to use a 2" to 1 1'4" hitch adapter adding another 6" to 8" to the mount and lessening the maximum load even more.
This unit will work for my needs but one shouldn't have to modify the product when it says it will fit either 1 1/4" or 2" hitches..."

Pros: Easy to assemble...one wrench 11/16" box end...instructions were adiquate.

"Needed somewhere to put my generator on my travel trailer. This is a very inexpensive, multi-functional item and it solved multiple issues."
Pros: easy to assemble, lots of extra storage.

It is a good deal for the money.
I only use it on the weekends for transporting yard waste.
I feel that if I was hauling heavy items everyday, I would have purchased a larger and heavier duty similar item.

"Overall, very satisfied with the hitch haul and the delivery. It would be nice to get more information when shipping is delayed. The cargo net is a must if you are hauling smaller items."
Pros: Once it arrived, it was very easy to assemble and place on my vehicle. It appears to hold the 500#.
Cons: It seems a bit unstable... it moves side to side and the tubing could be a bit longer to add stability
