Hoist-a-Top is a complete turnkey system. Easy to install and use. Simply attach the super-strong steel frame to your top using the no-mar rubber-coated hooks. Special cable-pulling mechanism lifts top to the ceiling for out-of-the-way storage. The 7-ft. to 10-ft. working range allows Hoist-a-Top to handle top removal and storage in most garages and carports. Top stores in the lifted position. No drilling...;no pulled muscles, strained back or dropped/damaged top. Works with all one-piece and 2-piece hardtops. Detailed instructions and foam-covered hardware included.

Manual Crank - Hoist a top,

"I purchased the manual crank unit, as I only plan to lower once a year. It takes about 10 minutes to crank it all the way down...not bad at all.
Only draw back....the directions were terriable. Once I sorted through the directions, it was actually easy to install and worked great. Took me less than 3hrs.
I mounted my crank high enough on the wall...and my pulley high enough on the cieling (I added 4 x 4 on top of rafter vs mounting to the bottom of rafters) that I can pick up the roof directly from the garage floor and snug it all they way up to the botton of rafters (maximum clearance).
I had to add a 2nd pulley direclty above the crank, to be able to turn the crank without hittinng my knuckles on the cable.
All in all....good product...works great."

Pros: Lifting bracket works well
Cons: winch breaks to easy
"The unit came with a cheap harbor freight winch that exposure to a little damp weather causes it to break down. Lange replaced it once but replacement remote was broken on arrival. I sealed all parts of unit with rtv, babied it through one season, stored it in the garage for the winter and it would not work come spring"

Well worth the money,

Pros: easy to assemble, install, and use.
Cons: none yet.
"Just installed the Hoist-a-Top in the corner of the garage. Other than adding an additional pulley in order to achieve maximum clearance for top and cable went in without a hitch. Yes it came with a cumalong instead of the crank but wasn't a big deal just had to rethink how and where to mount. Once installed and adjusted literally only 5 min. to remore the top and store. A breeze. I would recommend adding another pulley to if space is a concern for your top storage. A great investment."

Pros: The top is elevated
Cons: Waist of money, waiting for the crash!
"I feel that your advertisement for your Hoist-A-Top Kit was missleading. The photo shows a 120 volt winch remote system. What was delivered was a hard to use come-along. The hoist does not look sturdy and holds the top uneven."
