"I bought one of these for my bug and one for my boat and both failed within 6 months. I was able to get replacements and same problem DO NOT BUY!!!"

Pros: good backup from Whitney and Pertronix
Cons: Had to return one unit--bad from factory
"I've installed three of these units in VW's--no problems at all with the first two--the last one was bad from the factory and had to be returned. No problem with the return--Whitney stood behind the product and sent me a new one--Pertronix is very good at helping you with any technical questions."

Pros: works under water and in extreme dust
Cons: be carefule with which wire goes where.
"I have used and am currently still using in my vw sandrail and my baja for the last 25 years plus. you set up the air gap as close as posible and forget about it.. like for years."
