The Whitney Automotive Group, a preeminent online and catalog automotive aftermarket retailer, is proud to salute Mitchell A. Langford on winning a scholarship from the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Memorial Scholarship Fund.

The SEMA Memorial Scholarship Fund is dedicated to promoting industry leadership by supporting the education of students working towards careers in the automotive aftermarket. Since 1984, this fund has awarded over $1,000,000 in scholarships to more than 400 of the brightest and best students. "SEMA is pleased to reward the hard work of these students and provide financial assistance to support their education and career goals," says Paul "Scooter" Brothers, SEMA Scholarship Committee chairman, in Motor Age magazine. "We are consistently amazed by what our scholarship winners have accomplished in their academic careers. By investing in the education of these young people, we are investing in the future of our industry. Their academic achievements, as well as their leadership and volunteer activities, speak to their commitment to make a difference in the automotive industry." For the 2008-2009 academic year, SEMA is awarding scholarships totaling more than $130,000. Mitchell A. Langford is one of the 93 worthy recipients.
