How often do you shop at JC Whitney.com? Multiple Times a Year
"Installed on Honda VTX 1300R
J C Whitney did their job very well. Took a week to get it and I got the wrong installation kit which I am sure was my mistake but they made good on the return in a timely fashion.
Installation instruction needs to point out the bands are cut to fit the tapered struts so they must be installed with the narrow part up in order to get them connected. Yup I should have figured that out in the beginning but once I did things went very smoothly. You do need to take the time to adjust the mounting hardware so that the screen will pop on and neither side touches the tank. There is only about 3/16" space when the handle bars are full over in each direction.
After the five on and off interations of the shield the bolts needed to be tighten again to the specsification. Repeated the 5 again and a small amount of tightening required. 75 inch pounds sounds small but if you are using one hand and the 4mm hex wrench it is hard to exceed the spec.
Takes pretty good push to get the top latches over cernter to lock it in place."
Pros: Looks, quality hardware and once completed easy to take off and put on.
Cons: Hardware installation instructions needed a couple more notes. Price is little high

"This windshield and mounting hardware was extremely easy to install. It took me less than 20 minutes and I am not that mechanically inclined. Installation intructions were very easy to follow, make sure you have a torque wrench and a 4mm hex socket to install the mounting hardware. Excellent Product!!"

"I search all over for a good windshield for my wifes 05 Honda Shadow Aero 750. I saw this one on another 05 Aero and the guy said he bought it from JC Whitney. I looked on the website and couldn't find one for my 05, only 04 and below. I called customer service and told them I know you have it because I saw on on another bike, and they in turn called the manufacturer which said it fits up to an 08. So I ordered it. I went back to the site to buy the mounting hardware and again had problems and had to call customer service, and they took care of it. So what I'm trying to say is don't go by their website if you are having trouble finding what you want. I almost ended up buying one that wouldn't have looked right on her bike. I installed it and she loved it. I only gave it 4 stars because the rings that wrap around the forks to hold on the hardware aren't as shiney as the rest of the hardware, it looks more like stainless steel. I like the quick release, there are no tools or nuts and bolts to loosen, you just wedge it into place to install or yank on it to take it off. It looks just like the one on Hondas website but Honda wanted $449.00 plus the extra for hardware, you do the math. Also it's harder to post this on here than to install the windshield."

"I Installed the 2-up Switchblade windshield on my Honda VTX 1300c and have been very pleased with it's good looks and versatile design. This windshield offers good protection from the elements and when it gets dirty, it's easy to remove and clean. It only takes a couple of seconds to remove or replace."
