- Mandrel-bent large-diameter tubing is powder coated inside and out
Synthaflow filters utilize multiple layers of cotton gauze with a layer of synthetic fiber material that traps the smallest dirt particles, plus a durable epoxy-coated wire mesh specially designed to provide optimum balance between maximum air flow, peak filtration, and filter rigidity. Airaid premium filters utilize a hand-poured urethane body that won't crack, curl, or shrink. Easy to install with ordinary hand tools. Also replace truck's restrictive intake tube with improved air flow tubing.

"'94 Jeep Cherokee 244CI Inline 6cyl, I'm living in America, I don't use the metric system for measurement. I recently purchased/installed this system along w/throttle body spacer. My fuel mileage increased 4mpg city and the increase in torque/throttle response is very noticeable. Adding a cold air intake and a free flowing exhaust system to ANY vehicle will improve fuel mileage/FTLBSTQ. AS LONG AS YOU DONT PUT THE PEDAL TO THE METAL ALL THE TIME, fuel mileage will increase. Computerized vehicles need no recalibrating/reprogramming when installing these systems unless you are going to the extremes of stroking, boring, installing an aggressive cam, etc. Thats what the sensors on the engine are there for! The ECM/PCM will adjust fuel delivery & timing accordingly to the perameters of the sensors. If the engine can breathe and exhuast with less resistance it burns fuel more efficiently. I researched CFM of 5 different intake systems, Airaid flows the most. I reaserched the filtration efficiencey of those 5. Airaid is the most efficient. I could write a novel on lean conditions, rich conditions, detonation, etc. What do people expect when they full throttle their vehicles all the time? Just remember, "There is absolutely NO substitute for cubic inches!" The more you hotrod your vehicle, the harder everything has to work, the EASIER and FASTER things break. I agree that mashing the throttle sounds awesome and is alot of fun, but there is a price that comes with doing so.

Dropped gas mileage.,

Pros: Easy to instal, JCwhitney refunded my money.
Cons: Gas mileage went from 15.7 to 12.7 No difference in performance.
"I purchased air filter for a 2000 Jeep Gr Cherokee thinking I would improve performance and gas mileage. There was no noticacble difference in performance, gas mileage went from 15.7 to 12.7. I noticed the difference in my wallet! Listen, you can't put something like this on a vehicle and not expect to re-program the computer and re-tune, your adding more air flow, the computer is going to tell the fuel sensors to add more fuel to balance out the air fuel mix. Plus I had to put up with, I told you it wouldn't work, from the wife!
I had no problem with return and refund from JCWhitney. Despite a lousy product(from my point of veiw) I will purchase more products from them."

"i put this on my chevy tb 4.2 I6 ltz. it took some time to install but man does it look good. i also added an air aid tbs and tornado air and im getting 15mpg city and 20mpg highway more. i also notice a heck of a lot more power and tq in the whole range. im not a racer du to the suv and kids so im verry glad bout the gas gain. i highley recomend it to every one."

"very happy with this system instaled it on my 2002 Dodge Dakota it gave me 4 miles to the gallon and lots more power even when pulling my camper."
