"This is not by far OE. The OE can keep it's shape when leaning against a wall in vertical position while this one not. The plastic it's so thin that can be rolled like a cigar. Also 4 holes where off by 1/4" making almost impossible the installation."

New Splash Shield for my 2002 Passat,

"Not long ago, I had a close encounter with a piece of retread at 70 MPH on the Interstate in my 2002 VW Passat. Since then, my Splash Shield has been held on with tie wraps, since the supporting wings that attach to the wheelwells were shattered. This OE Replacement Splash Shield was the perfect choice for me. The fit is perfect. The material is identical to the original. The price was 1/3 that of the OEM part. Shipping was free! If you need the VW/Audi logo to feel complete, then buy OEM and pay the price. If you can live with a discrete "Made in Taiwan" logo on the inside of the Splash Shield, where only you and your mechanic will see it at the time of maintenance, then buy this OE Replacement Splash Shield, and throw away the tie wraps. I am a very happy camper."

"I installed this on a 2009 Saturn Aura XR. All of the pre-drilled holes were correct and lined up. My only negative comment is that the plastic was much thinner and flimsier than the original. For the purpose of the cover, I believe it should be fine, but I will have to see how durable it is after next winter as it is driven on our compact snow covered roads to know for sure.
I have had it installed for 2 weeks with no issues.
