"This was a very well constructed filter as good or better than the more expensive brand. I changed from a paper filter to this foam one and it gave my gold wing a little better throttle response and 2 more miles per gallon average over 4 tanks of gas. Makes a little more noise when on the throttle hard though."

Pros: Good filter for the money
Cons: Doesn't state it needs to be oiled before buying, only on the package after it arrives.
"Good filter for the money, I had to reshape it a bit to fit well. Also, it requires oil and does not state what kind of oil or how much etc, and no directions on how to clean it etc. I just used SAE 30 weight oil and let the excess drip out of the foam. Seems to be doing well. I did try running it without oil but it let too much air in the carbs, I would oil it before hand to get it all set. The K&N filters run better after they're slightly dirty too, so the oil in this filter is a must. These are similar to K&N, plus I like the idea of cleaning the foam filter instead of buying a new filter every time. I installed this in my '81 Yamaha XS850 triple, so far so good, decent quality too."
