"I have a 82 Honda SilverWing the direction are a little hard to figure out, however after reading all the review I knew what to expect. Being mechanically inclined and taking my time it wasn’t as bad as some of the review made it sound like , take your time and you will be satisfied I am very happy with the final product , yes for the few first ride you may experience a vision distortion but it go away and once you ride with a windshield you won’t go back to ride without"

Pros: easy installation, parts fit well, light weight and trim look
Cons: directions could be a little better with references to illustrations
"I have been looking for a light weight windshield that didn't distract from my bike itself. I wanted to keep the classic look of the older BMW bikes. This item fit my requirements perfectly. It was simple to install with just the tools required. The fitting took only about 40 minutes in all, then adjusting to my desired height another 5 or so. This project was easy to complete. The directions could have been a little clearer with references to the illustrations, but it's easy enough to figure out. I found that by mounting the top brackets to the handlebars first gave me the help I needed to locate and mount the lower mounts without anyone helping to hold the windshield. Item is also made to be easily adjusted or taken off. Can't wait to get out on the road for a longer ride to see what I really think."

"Before seeing this on the Whitney site I was having a hard time finding a windshield to fit my 83 Honda Shadow 750. It was delivered quickly and looked great. The instuctions were horrible, though. It took a while to install it as I kept changing the location of the lower supports to get the best fit....and the lower ball joints kept popping out. Finally got it on. Looks great and very sturdy with no vibration at 75. Riding for 35 years and this is my first windshield....it's a whole different ride without the wind on you!!!"
Pros: Just the right size for my 1979 Suzuki GS750. I believe I put it on in less than 20 minutes.
Cons: The lower attachment rods are a bit short. If they were longer it would allow a better adjustment for tilting the shield
"I looked at two other shields from JCWhitney that were similar but slightly small. I am glad I went with this one because it looks very nice. The directions were a little difficult to understand. Being a little mechanically minded I thought it was simple to see how it went together and assembled it with in 20 minutes. After a couple of test runs I made a few slight adjustments on the height. It works well and is very sturdy and solid. The hose clamps are tucked up under the front fork attachment and are barely noticed. Very good purchase for the money and very satisfied. I also found that readinng the reviews gave me an idea on what to expect."
