RPMs not even close,

"On my test drive I refused to believe my old Jeep Wagoneer 360 was turning only 2K rpm at 65 mph. When I got back I compared the Sun Pro to a bench tachometer. They only agreed at 650 rpm idle! The higher the actual rpms the more the Sunpro falls off in its reading. I'm throwing it out tomorrow."
Pros: easy install
Cons: Very inaccurate

"Well, this little guy does the job. He's easy to install and easy to read.
Whether you have a common or distributor-less ignition system, this tach will install quite easily. However, you need a basic understanding of how an engine works, and a rudimentary understanding of the electrical system that your engine uses.
But, with these things finally understood, you and your engine and your tachometer will finally have a grand time telling you about each other."
