"These look good, I would not call them quickset for removal. If you want to remove the windsheild, these brackets will fall apart and you have to take everthing off. It is a QUICK SET not a QUICK RELEASE. I guess it is my fault, I never caught the wording, but a good product."

Pros: Easy install, great price and looks fantastic!
Cons: Not sure; however, the bands make rust over time.
"This hardware was very easy to install, especially for a non-mechanical person such as myself. The instructions were easy to follow, just make sure you have a 4mm hex tool to tighten the steel bands. They also recommend using a torque wrench.
This is the best investment for bike to date. Thank you JC Whitney!"

National Cycle Quickset for windshields,

Pros: Easy install, looks good and quick release on and off
Cons: Pricey, stainless bands need coating so they don't rust
"The National Cycle windshields are excellent quality. They do not dull over time. They clean up easily and have perfect clarity. Do not clean them with Windex or wax! I use Plexus plastic cleaner.
This review is for their “Quickset” it is the hardware to mount your windshield. The Quickset looks good and is good quality. The only grip is the bands that attach around your forks are just simple steel bands. Over time they can rust. I borrowed my wife’s nail polish (clear) and painted over the bands for protection. Works perfectly. The other thing to note is you will need a flat head screwdriver to help you snap on the bands. If you do not have a flat head may the force be with you!
Overall I would highly recommend National Cycle.

"Perfect fit for my 04 Honda Shadow Spirit. I received my windshield and mounting hardware at 12:00 and was on the road trying it out at 12:20. Very easy to install. Windshield presses on and pulls off. Snug fit and no rattles at all at any speed and over bumps and railroad tracks. I also installed this product on my wife's 05 Honda Shadow Aero. I am a little concerned that the metal bands that retain the mounts might rust. PLEASE ALLOW ENOUGH SPACE BETWEEN YOUR MOUNTS AND GAS TANK FOR YOUR HANDLEBARS TO GO COMPLETELY LEFT TO RIGHT. It would help if you cover your tank with a towel during installation, at least the very front part where your mounts line up. I left about a quarter inch gap. Also as stated in the instructions, install and remove the windshield 5 times and then retighten the hardware. I can't believe I went so long without a windshield. It is a totally different driving experience. Alot less tiring. I didn't realize how bad the wind beat you up and wore you out until I installed my windshield. It is also alot quieter, I can hear my exhaust and other traffic now. Looks great on my bike too, I was really worried about that. Total price for hardware and windshield was $345.00, Honda wanted $399.95 and I don't think it has the quick release feature."
