"I was able to install in about 20 minutes, Simple and easy. But, the designer only configured for break lights and running lights. The Turn signals on a Oldsmobile Silhouette are on a separate bulb housing and while the 6 prong plugin allows for this during connection it did not connect the turn signals to the trailer lighting. This will require a separate set of connectors from the turn lamps"
Pros: Was easy to connect
Cons: Does not work with turn signals

"simple installation, find the trailer harness connector from under the back side panel, plug in interface and trailer harness is good to go! Note the Outback has an OEM harness for adding this type of aftermarket interface, most cars do not come with that option.
Most trucks do so this application should be just as easy on other vehicles."
Pros: plug and play
Cons: none

"Found it to be extremely easy to plug it in and test it. The vehicle location for the wiring was the tough part (behind a panel in the cargo area). The only thing that I wish it had would be a simple barrel style connection between the T connector and the trailer output end so that you could more easily route the wire. It's a bit tough trying to route a 4 wire plug through body access points. Other than that, I'm thrilled with this item. Perhaps 15 minutes from start to finish to install and test it."
Pros: Plug and play! Didn't know it could be this easy.
Cons: No way to route the cable with the end already on it.

"I purchased a new Dodge Nitro in 2010, I purchased a Curt hitch and a t-connector from JC Whitney and installed in 2011. Winter of 2011, I lost my rear tail lights, license plate light and left brake light, found 2 blown fuses in the Ntro fuse block, replace them and before I got to work the following day both fuses blew. I removed the unit and had no more porblems with my lights. Got a replacement from JC Whitney and during winter of 2012 the exact same failure happened. Found a review on Amazon while looking for another light kit, found numerous complaints similar to my experience."
