An original-equipment drive shaft on a JK Wrangler has joints similar to most front-wheel-drive cars. The problem? While these CV joints are fine for normal car use they?re just not up to the task on a lifted JK, when you use larger tires or when you go off road. The solution is the Upgrade Drive Shaft-the double-cardan joint drive shaft developed specifically for Wranglers. These double U-joints provide better strength and operating angle and help to reduce vibration when the Wrangler is lifted. Each drive shaft has increased tube thickness and standard slip yokes for long life and ease of installation. Bolts directly to stock axles and transfer case without any alteration.
