American motorcycles are often described as rugged, powerful machines, and Victory-branded motorcycles are not an exception. Founded in 1997, Victory is one of the youngest US motorcycle brands in the market today. But despite this, it's still considered as one of the dominant names in the market, producing not only highly popular choppers but also quality Victory parts.
Victory Motorcycles is one of the brands owned by Polaris industries, an American manufacturer of neighborhood electric and recreational vehicles. It is particularly known for its snowmobiles, the Ranger line of ATVs, as well as for its partnerships with other prominent brands such as Subaru, KTM, and Brammo.
Under Polaris, Victory takes advantage of years of engineering and machining expertise as well as partnerships in related industries to produce innovative and high-performance Victory bikes and Victory auto parts.
Currently, the Victory brand offers three distinct types of motorcycles: the cruiser, the bagger, and the cross-country models.
One of the older motorcycle types, cruiser bikes are identified for their easy riding characteristics and shifting. They also feature V-twins and inline engines that prioritize torque over horsepower. V-Twin cruiser motorcycles have all these characteristics, although with added enhancements such as 6-speed overdrive transmissions, a lowered, ergonomic seat, and, in some models, bigger rear tires. In addition, Victory cruisers are also designed to be compatible with Victory aftermarket parts and Victory accessories such as passenger cowls and custom handlebar grips.
Bagger motorcycles, on the other hand, are similar to cruisers except that these come installed with large luggage and storage compartments for long distance traveling. Victory bagger motorcycles feature roomy, hard shell saddlebags as well as high-end audio speakers along with the V-Twin engines and 6-speed transmission found in their cruiser models. And because they are meant for long-distance driving, the bagger bikes also come with features such as cruise control and ABS brakes for added control and convenience on the road.
Although bagger motorcycles are meant to cover large distances, they still pale in comparison to the capabilities of Victory cross country. Designed for continuous driving of up to 100,000 miles or more, Victory's cross country bikes are built to last for days on the road. These bikes from Victory are integrated with Victory parts aimed at providing comfort during long stretches of driving, including heated handgrips and seats, adjustable passenger floorboards, and a special Comfort Control System that controls the flow of the wind against the driver and passenger. In addition, Victory's cross country bikes also provide ample storage room, providing up to 29 gallons of trunk and saddlebag space.
In addition to the classic chopper designs, which are typically associated with rebel culture, Victory also produces machines of the opposite spectrum with police motorcycles. Sold under the Commander and Vision nameplates, Victory's police bikes are built for the needs of law enforcement. Each motorcycle is powered by Freedom 106 cubic inch, direct fuel injection engine with a 6-speed overdrive transmission and is fitted with 2. pullback handlebars with police radio tabs. Other features include red and blue LED emergency lights, police sirens, and custom engine badging and department-specific decaling of motorcycles.
