"You apply this product with a puddy knife, paint brush (stiff), or a stick. It appears like tar and has the consistance of a home roof repair tar product. I applied this product to a 1994 Dodge Grand Caravan in 2000. It's now Oct 2006 and this product is still stuck to the wheel wells and undercarrage in the same quantity as the original application. I can't see where any has fallen off. I believe this vehicle had ~ 70K mi on it and now I have 157K mi. Product is mildly flexible and is significantly difficult to remove with a puddy knife after all this time. Noise dampening quality is superior to paint, fiberglass insualation, or expanding foam insulation. I live is SOCAL it rarely rains and the climate is hot and dry. However, I did use this van in Utah for 2 year in the cold and wet snow in 2003 and 2004. recommend tightening all bolts prior to application."

"You must clean under carriage extremely well. Pressure wash, wire brush, grind of rusty area's, power sand & hand sand, pressure wash again, then blow ry with compressed air. I found it best to brush on thin coat with flat brush- working product into every crack and seam. Let that coat dry for 1 hour atleast. Then apply a heavier coat using round, parts cleaner type brush, dabbing a coat of product over intire area. end result of dabbing on this final coat is good coverage and final appearance is much like pro sprayed on coating. I undercoated my F-150 4x4 over year ago held up great through 2 Iowa winters. Now I'm working on 87 Mustang. I'm sure I'll get excellent, long lasting, pro looking results."
Pros: water cleanup, applies easy, durable& looks great when finished.
Cons: really have no cons for this product.

"I bought this undercoat because i am in the process of rebuilding a 1986 Ford Ranger, the floor was rusted away and i replaced it with a panel and applied the under coat on the floor of the truck.
the only bad thing about this undercoating is the can sould have instructions on how to apply it.
this was well worth the money i paid for it.
"
Pros: looks great
Cons: could use directions

"I want to thank another reviewer for the directions on applying this product, as there are absolutely no instructions on the can. I applied it using a small and a large putty knife. I actually used it on a small camping trailer. My original idea was that it would add some insulation to the trailer floor. When I took a good look at the trailer I saw that the under portion was made of some type of pressed wood fiber. I'm sure this undercoating will increase the life of my trailer considerably."
Pros: Water based, no chemical smell, reasonably easy to apply, can be applied thickly or thinly.
Cons: Very difficult to remove from concrete.
