Step 1: To begin, locate the mounting components of the visors that are usually covered by a plastic covering. Once you've located them, use a flathead screwdriver and insert it under the notch in the plastic cover to remove it.

Step 2: Remove the plastic cover by twisting the screwdriver and popping the cover off.

Step 3: After removing the cover, use the right kind of screwdriver to unscrew the mounting hardware that's holding the sun visor in place.

Step 4: Once you've successfully removed these mounting components, set them aside for possible use in the future.

Step 5: At this point, you should be able to take the visor out of your car's roof and headliner without any difficulty.

Step 6: While pulling the visor towards you, see if there are any wires behind it that are connected to electronic devices. If there are, pull these wires with caution and wait for the harness to come out. When it's out, disconnect the harness to free the visor.

Step 7: Finally, mount the new sun visor and secure it in place using the mounting components that came with it. If it doesn't have any, see if the screws from the old one can be used.
