The team at Chicago-based Olsen Motorsports detailed their meticulously completed 964 Turbo project, a masterpiece of customization. This one-of-a-kind vehicle features a series of transformative modifications, from the sleekly shaved front bumper to the custom-built interior features. Highlighting a unique blend of craftsmanship and technology, particularly in the engine upgrades that boost performance, every detail is a master class in automotive elevation.
The project began with the iconic 964 Turbo, a vehicle renowned for its performance and aesthetic. One of the first noticeable changes is the front bumper. The standard front bumper gasket, typically found on 964 Turbos, has been elegantly shaved off, along with the front license plate indent, to achieve a sleeker and cleaner look.
Adding to the aesthetic modifications, the Porsche crest was seamlessly pressed into the hood—a subtle yet impressive nod to the brand’s heritage. The headlights also received star treatment; the car now features 911 Designs headlights with halo rings and fluted lenses, enhancing both the vehicle’s appearance and its road visibility.
The Olsen Motorsports touch is evident even in the choice of wheels. In a nod to Chicago’s love for deep-dish pizza, the Porsche showcases deeply dished Speedline wheels. These were made possible by using C2 rear trailing arms, allowing for a wider track and thus accommodating the larger wheels which are white with hand-painted center caps, complementing the car’s refined exterior.
Every component of this Porsche has received attention, even down to the windshield wiper arms and window trims, all powder-coated in Olsen’s signature black. And at the rear, the wing is painted with a rubberized paint to match the deck lid, maintaining the car’s sleek, unified look.
Moving under the hood, there lies a testament to Olsen Motorsports’ engineering prowess—a custom built 3.5-liter engine with a fully forged rotating assembly, port and polished heads, and C2 cams. The power is boosted by a custom-spec Garrett turbo, ensuring this beauty is not just for show.
As for the interior: from the RS-inspired door panels to the Recaro Sportster seats reupholstered in a striking red Alcantara, the cabin is a sight to behold. The attention to detail continues with a RUF-style steering wheel, now thicker and also covered in Alcantara.
The entire vehicle is a showcase of thoughtful engineering, aimed at enhancing both performance and drivability.
