These replacement air filters offer revolutionary technology that delivers 30, 40, sometimes 50% better air flow than stock filters. The more air flow to the engine, the more power you get. Filter consists of 4 layers of cotton gauze between 2 layers of metal screen. Cotton is much less restrictive than paper elements and is oil impregnated to capture the tiniest dust particles while allowing air to flow freely. Filters are washable, re-usable. To restore maximum air flow efficiency, order service kit (sold separately).
All K&N® air filter elements are warranted against defective materials or workmanship for one million miles or ten years, whichever comes first.

K& N Filter for 6.0 Silverado,

Pros: What a difference in power. Yes, you hear some intake howl at wide open throttle. Wadja expect?
Cons: A lot of clamps and stuff to get old air mass sensor off.
"I added a lower restrictive (3") stainless exhaust to my 99 Silverado 2500 with 6.0 liter. Heavy truck, no race truck, but putting the K&N together with the exhaust made night and day difference in drivability. That 6.0 is not going to get great milage, so don't count on that with an air filter. But it couldn't get out of its own way before I made just "breathing" mods. I am pleased, 4 years later. Yes, you hear some intake noise and some whistles, but hey, it's a performance part, you knuckle head!"
