    Installing a Tailgate Net

Installing tailgate nets is relatively an easy thing to do, so you can definitely do it by yourself to save some cash. Here's a general guide that can help you go through the entire process.

    Tools that you'll need:

    • Metric socket set
    • Metric ratchet set
    • Screwdrivers
    • Tape measure
    • Marker
    • Drill

Step 1: Before you begin installation, remove the stock tailgate of your pickup first. Do this by unscrewing or unbolting all of the mounting hardware that secure it in place. To be on the safe side, it would be best to consult your vehicle's manual to avoid causing damage to your truck.

Step 2: As soon as you have successfully removed the stock tailgate of your vehicle, measure the mounting area where you plan to install the net anchors on both sides of the truck bed. Once you've determined where the anchors will be placed, use a marker to mark these spots.

Step 3: After that, use a drill to put holes in the marks that you made. To be safe, it would be best to consult the instructional guide that came with the tailgate net kit for this particular step.

Step 4: Once you're done drilling the holes, mount the net with the help of its mounting brackets. More often than not, the mounting hardware will be loop-type brackets that will secure the net in place by holding the canvas netting.

Step 5: Lastly, you need to thread the brackets with the netting straps, and then you can use the adjuster to secure the tailgate net in its proper position.
