" The unit performs very well (100feet) and is flexible enough to make do what u want. I did have to do some research as my vehicle was not wired as stated in the GM manuals. "

" Valient is also sold as IC Dynamics. Instructions are terrible. My 89 Corvette burned up the system as the amps are too high. No info is provided about testing the amps. In general the instructions are poor and the website is no help at all, "

" I only wanted this for the locking/unlocking so the other features were of no use to me which is a good thing since it took a while just to get that going. The manual that comes with it gives you information in a disjointed fashion and never really steps you through how to install or troubleshoot this. The antenna range was poor so I lengthened the antenna wire which helped out quite a bit. It came with a passive locking feature which automatically re-locked the doors 30 seconds after unlocking and was annoying. I contacted the tech support guy twice and he was helpful in assisting me to troubleshoot and reprogram this unit. "
Pros: Inexpensive system but sets up easily once you've figured it out.
Cons: The installation guide is vague and incomplete. This is not a project for someone who isn't a little savvy.

" Take the time to understand the system by reading the instructions first and decide which features you want. I chose the door lock function, horn chirp and parking lights only. Have some understanding of what the current draw of the components you want the unit to activate and make sure they don't exceed the modules output or a relay will be required to operate that component. Not difficult to install if you know the above mentioned amperage of the systems (either from the manufacturers spec or use a voltmeter with amperage display to find out). Works as it states and remote has a very good distance. An excellent buy for the price. "
Pros: Many good features for the price.
Cons: This is an upgraded version of the older 2RTA. It's slightly more complicated than the original keyless entry
